Band 2 Health care Assistant, 36 hours available fixed term until 31st October 2025
We are looking for highly motivated Health Care Assistants to join our team in Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) at Glan Clwyd YGC
1. To assist the registered nurses (or other healthcare practitioners) in providing high quality patient care
2. Maintain patients' privacy and dignity at all times and provide care in a compassionate and sensitive manner.
3. Be an effective part of the multi-disciplinary team contributing to the departmental objectives.
4. Continue to develop and maintain competencies in nursing tasks to maintain high quality safe care.
5. Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other ward / department duties as required, general tidiness, re-determined stock levels are met and clinical equipment is clean, working and stored correctly.
6. Contributes to the work of the department by working under direct or indirect supervision of registered practitioners or assistant practitioners
Main duties of the job
Main Duties
Assisting patients with daily activities.
Checking vital signs.
Supporting patients with personal care.
Communicating with patients.
Monitoring and taking observations.
Assisting nursing staff when necessary.
Keeping departments tidy and ensuring equipment is clean.
Serving meals and helping patients eat.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
