EACH Care Salary Band: 7 We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with paediatric experience to join our physical therapies team at EACH and to work at our Milton Hospice within our multidisciplinary team there. East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) has a team of Physical Therapists which include Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Physical Therapies Technicians. The team supports the provision of care across all of our 3 hospices in East Anglia. The team are experienced and skilled in holistically working with children and young people with complex and palliative care needs. They work alongside other EACH and external professionals to maximise the quality of life for babies, children and young people (BCYP) accessing our service, by ensuring they have the right support to meet their individual needs and equipment requirements for their planned care. The Occupational Therapist’s role includes: Supporting BCYP and their families receiving care from EACH in their homes, the three hospices, and in the community Supporting activities of daily living, including, mobility and transfers, transporting, bathing, sleep and positioning Advising and training our staff to deliver interventions such as postural management, moving and handling, and carrying out their therapy programme Working closely with our symptom management professionals and multi disciplinary team to assess clinical symptoms and support on the development of appropriate care and management plans.
