About the Role
An opportunity exists for a Materials Controller to join the Production team and work within the Manufacturing division. The candidate will be responsible for the movement and distribution of finished shelters, painted parts, components and raw materials between internal Factory manufacturing cells working alongside the Production Planning Department. In particular, the preparation of any and all Packs, Parts, Kits and Assemblies for Hayes Install and Maintenance Teams. Also responsible for providing timely movements of materials according to priorities set via the MRP system and for managing loads in an efficient and safe manner as required working within Trueform HSSE (Health & Safety, Security & Environmental) guidelines, policies & regulations.
Responsibilities & Duties
Your main responsibilities and duties will include:
1. Movement of Materials:
* To load, unload and move materials (finished parts, components and raw materials) within the Shop Floor/ Production areas including loading and unloading onto pallets, racks and shelves at required work areas and storage areas. Ensure all materials are labelled correctly per MRP.
* To liaise with Assembly / Install / Maintenance Teams and other internal Teams regarding the loading and collection of finished and unfinished goods / items.
* To operate forklift ensuring the load is secure and safe at all times – certified operators only.
* To ensure when delivering material that it is placed in keeping with existing area 5S principles in the responsible areas incl. walkways, Shadowboards, rack labels etc. To be mindful of returning used and borrowed equipment back to Shadow Boards.
* Following the principles & tasks listed above and below, the post holder is expected to move goods, package goods & otherwise coral goods in readiness and preparation for Assembly / Install & Maintenance Teams as directed by Production Manager.
1. Stock Control/ MRP System:
* Generation of accurate component counts, stock takes and production of accurate delivery notes, to input, monitor and maintain data ensuring a high degree of accuracy.
* To interrogate MRP system, recognize instructions and follow them.
* To scan the material manually while stocking and notify the supervisor immediately if any deficit is visible.
* To enter daily transactions in the relevant software to include Recycled Parts.
2. Maintenance/ Cleaning/ Housekeeping:
* To clean and maintain the Shop Floor / Assembly areas including the removal of waste and rubbish ensuring that all waste is handled according to the company’s guidelines.
* Perform regular checks of Materials Handling equipment as required (Fork Trucks, Pump Trucks & other equipment). Ensure equipment parked in a safe and secure manner.
3. General Communication/ Training and Health and Safety:
* To keep management informed of progress against objectives on a daily basis.
* To attend training courses and weekly internal meetings (e.g. House Keeping) if required.
* To manage personal PPE and to comply with different PPE requirements in different areas.

Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for someone who has the following qualifications and experience:
Required:
* GCSE English and Maths.
* Forklift and Side Loader Certification.
* Material Handling in a Similar Environment.
* Manual Handling.
* Manufacturing Experience.
