Position: Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant (1:1 Support) Location: Brighton, East Sussex Start Date: As soon as possible Salary: £13.09 - £14.09ph (depending on experience) Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student with special educational needs in a vibrant primary school in Brighton. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a positive difference to the educational experience of children with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a student with SEN, ensuring they are able to fully engage with the curriculum. Assist with the development and implementation of individual learning plans and strategies. Support the student with tasks, encouraging independence and building confidence. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to monitor progress and adapt support as needed. Provide emotional and behavioural support where necessary, promoting a positive learning experience. Ensure the safety and well-being of the student at all times.We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), ideally in a school setting. Demonstrates a patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach to supporting children. Has a strong understanding of various learning difficulties and strategies to support them.
