Following additional investment, the Nutrition and Dietetic Service are looking for an experienced registered Nurse to join the team in Swansea Bay University Health Board. The post is fixed term until 31st March 2025, full time (working 37.5 hours per week).
This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery and evaluation of a competency based education programme for health and social care staff delivering enteral feeding tasks. This will allow you to develop your skills in enteral feeding as well as staff education and development.
Main duties of the job
You will work with the lead practice development nurse, adult Home Enteral feeding team, Nutrition Nurse and Home Enteral Feeding Contractor to deliver and evaluate training and support the assessment of competency. You should have experience of both enteral feeding tasks and working with staff in social care or community settings.
The post will have close relationships with other specialist nutrition nurses, as well those in the learning disability and primary care services. You should be inspiring, proactive, and approachable as well as committed to your own professional development and that of others. We offer departmental CPD time to support your development and are committed to the development of teaching and presentation skills, evidenced based practice, research and clinical audit. You will be supported in attending relevant professional networking meetings, interest groups.
Administrative support and Dietetic Support Worker assistance is available within the department.
The Health Board has University status with Colleges of Medicine on site.

* Educated to Degree Level
* Current NMC Registration on relevant part of Register
* Post registration training in relevant area
* Good awareness of artificial nutritional support and enteral feeding tube management

* Mentorship Module or equivalent clinical supervision
