You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for young people with serious mental health issues and / or complex emotional / behavioural difficulties in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team. You will supervise the work of junior staff, ensuring the highest possible standard of care in accordance with policies, procedures and legislation. You will participate in clinical supervision and have an active role in the development of the multi-disciplinary team, including participation in the education programmes of students and others.
To assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and therapeutic interventions for young people that will assist in recovery and rehabilitation and develop daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* To receive and provide clinical supervision.
* To supervise, monitor and support unqualified staff within the unit and ensure their compliance with policy.
* To actively participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to clinical decisions regarding young people within the unit.
* To promote and facilitate involvement of young people in their care.
* To manage caseloads effectively, making the best use of time and resources and ensure that any unresolved issues for young people and their families/carers are identified and referred to the appropriate personnel.
* To act as a positive role model for young people in the unit and support them to achieve their full potential.
