Production Operator | Milton, Abingdon-on-Thames | Full Time (Part Time will be considered) | £27,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience Our client is a UK company committed to supplying the best video surveillance solutions available. They are seeking an experienced Production Operator to join their team. This position focuses on production activity; however, support for other areas of the business may occasionally be required, including the use of the SAP stock control system. While performing duties, the candidate is expected to maintain a flexible approach, respond to changing business priorities, and consistently act in the best interests of the company, complying with policies, legal obligations, and health and safety requirements at work. Essential Experience in production assembly Ability to understand and accurately follow written assembly instructions, drawings and diagrams Ability and discipline to work in a clean environment are required for optical assembly Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity The right attitude and desire to produce a high-quality, error-free product Highly self-motivated Can work with minimal supervision Desirable Significant experience in complex optical and electronic product manufacture Experience in optical and electronic product testing Qualifications and experience in operating production machinery Knowledge of working with quality procedures and standards such as ISO What will your role look like? The responsibilities of the role will typically include, but not be limited to, the following: Production kit picking Assembly of optical lenses, cameras and mechanical assemblies Wiring of lens and camera products Packing finished goods for shipping Goods-inwards inspection Focusing on and testing the finished product Processing production documentation and maintaining records Other production associated tasks Reporting problems or defective parts What can you expect in return? 23 days paid holiday per annum, increasing by one day for each year of employment up to 25 days, plus bank holidays, with 3 days to be taken at Christmas 5% Company contribution to the pension scheme on completion of the probationary period A comfortable and modern well equipped office environment Free tea and coffee provided Car parking available What's next?
