About the Role
Sexual Offences Examiner/Experienced Forensic Physician - Midlands
As part of the Forensic Medical Programme, Mountain Healthcare has developed a framework to develop key areas of knowledge and skills which will be invaluable in all specialties, especially A&E, GP, paediatrics, psychiatry, and forensic medicine.
As a Forensic Medical Examiner, you will learn through clinical placements and blended learning, with personal support from an allocated mentor. An individualized education program will be provided, offering clinical exposure, examinations, and financial support.

This program mainly covers Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs), with potential additional work in adult services. Travel is required.

Location: Willow Tree SARC, Wednesbury
Hours: 32 hours per week
* Sexual Offence Examiner - £79,497 FTE
* Experienced Forensic Physician - £82,638 FTE
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct medical and forensic examinations per Mountain Healthcare guidelines within your professional scope.
* Assist Courts with medico-legal matters.
* Practice as an independent medical practitioner with clinical judgment.
* Treat all service users with courtesy and provide appropriate care.
* Stay updated with relevant guidelines and publications.
* Understand and be sensitive to the developmental, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of children.
* Hold a Medical Degree and have completed Foundation Training.
* Have UK full residency for at least 3 years for police background checks.
* Possess Basic Life Support certification and experience in an acute environment.
* Interest in Sexual Health.
* Experience in A&E, acute medicine, Sexual Health, Paediatrics, or Obstetrics.
* Experience in Research and/or Audit.
* Experience in General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Sexual Health, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare, or Mental Health.
* Diploma in Legal Medicine and Licentiate/Membership of FFLM preferred.
