To enable you in your role we have emerging technologies, our Pharmacy helpdesk with live chat facilities and a network of pharmacy professionals across our stores and Support Centre. We also offer a six-week training programme to Pharmacy Technicians who want to become ACPTs. About the opportunity As an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician you will play a key role in our pharmacies, leading your team to provide a service that our customers and patients can trust. Your main responsibilities will include: Accurately checking patient prescriptions that have been clinically checked by a Pharmacist whilst meeting regulatory and company standards. Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about available medicines, products or Macmillan Cancer Support. Delivering various services dependant on the store needs. Building great relationships with your Pharmacy team; coaching and inspiring them to deliver the highest standard of care. Assisting with the triage of patients and distributing prescription handouts. Taking ownership for legal, safe & ethical decision-making in the pharmacy. Manage operational tasks including replenishing stock, workload management, order fulfilment, receiving and handling controlled drugs whilst ensuring patient safety. What you’ll need to have Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC A passion for coaching and leading a dispensary team Excellent communication and organisational skills Motivation to change things for the better for our teams, customers and patients A desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
