Job Description
As a Material Planner at Gousto, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials into our supply chain. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the ordering of our Produce SKUs. (reporting to the Lead Planner for Produce).
You will collaborate closely with suppliers, buying, production teams, and other stakeholders to optimise inventory levels while helping to maintain on-time deliveries.
This role can be hybrid but commutable to Warrington.
Core Responsibilities:
* Plan and place Purchase Orders for the delivery of raw materials into multiple production sites
* Utilise data on production requirements, forecasts, and inventory targets to guide decision making.
* Continuously monitor demand patterns, lead times, and supplier performance to ensure optimal inventory levels and prevent stock outs or excesses.
* Manage day to day supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and to resolve any issues that may arise
* Collaborate closely with key stakeholders and build strong working relationships to ensure successful execution of the Supply Chain strategy (eg, Buying, Quality teams, Operations and our food teams)
* Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in our KPIs and Supply Chain processes

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
