Permanent, Term Time only We are looking for an SEN Teacher for our New Options School - Ryecroft School in Walsall. About the role Working as an SEN Teacher, you will create a positive and safe learning environment for the pupils and promote positive relationships between peers. You will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential. You will also collaborate with the SLT to secure high standards of teaching and learning, have willingness to lead on a curriculum area(s), and contribute to a lively and stimulating environment. We need people who share our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world. Teachers with a background in Early Years and Primary Teaching would be suitable for this position. Duties: To ensure a capable learning environment where pupils thrive, have their needs met and have access to positive interactions. To secure high quality teaching through effective use of resources and planning. To organise personalised learning activities and experiences which are differentiated to meet the individual needs and levels of achievement of each pupil. To be responsible for planning, tracking, evaluating, assessing and reporting the teaching and learning of pupils. Writing and updating Individual Outcomes To supervise, develop and manage Teaching Assistants relevant to their responsibilities. To liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as appropriate. Key Skills Required: Hold Qualified Teacher Status/Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills Have a background of teaching English and Maths at Primary Level, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level The cohort is currently looking like it will be primary, ASC and complex needs pupils including some in Early Years. About the school Our New Options School - Ryecroft School will have capacity for 60 pupils and is due to open in September 2024. Our New Options School will cater for pupils with Autism and complex needs. The school is located in Walsall. Walsall is a market town in the West Midlands County. It is located 9 miles north-west of Birmingham, 7 miles east of Wolverhampton and 9 miles from Lichfield. For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
