Here's what you'll be doing
As a Policy Advocacy Manager you will play a crucial role in representing the company's interests, insights, and strategic objectives to key policymakers and influencers across various governmental administrations. By actively shaping energy-related debates and engaging with policymakers, you will contribute to enhancing E.ON's reputation and advancing its commercial and sustainability goals within the UK energy sector. Other responsibilities include:
* Develop and execute E.ON's policy and advocacy strategy in alignment with broader business objectives.
* Monitor and analyse legislative, regulatory, and political developments affecting E.ON UK.
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders including politicians, civil servants, and industry associations.
* Lead lobbying efforts to influence energy-related debates at national, devolved, and local levels.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging in all policy-related activities.
What we need from you
* Substantial Policy/Advocacy Experience in governmental or public affairs.
* Planned and calculated approach with a proven track record of creating actionable work plans.
* Strategic Thinking & Analysis skills to interpret complex policy environments and devise advocacy strategies.
* Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills to convey policy positions effectively.
* Strong Relationship Building abilities with various stakeholders.
* Project Leadership experience with the capacity to lead initiatives.
* Resilience & Adaptability to operate effectively in a fast-paced political environment.
