This is a full-time permanent role as a HR manager for a great FE college.
This role is paying £43,665 - £48,260 and comes with an annual leave entitlement of 35 days, plus bank holidays, plus a Christmas closure period.
They are looking to hire/interview as soon as possible and will also consider candidates interested in temporary work as well.
Person Specification:
1. Strong HR generalist with in-depth knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
2. An excellent communicator.
3. CIPD level 5.
4. Flexibility, adaptability and a can-do attitude.
5. Good level of computer/database skills specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
6. Ability to work flexibly under pressure with a proven track record of delivering against simultaneous priorities.
7. High emotional intelligence.
8. Experience of the education sector is desirable but not essential.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Being responsible for the full HR support service to all employees regarding their HR queries relating to systems, college policies and procedures, best practices, and legislative requirements.
2. Consistently maintain accurate and up-to-date information on the company's HR system - ITrent.
3. Monitor, review and develop any HR policies and processes as required by the organisation, or as directed by changes in employment law.
4. Support and advise managers on people management matters.
5. Manage any employee relations arising such as performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, and occupational health.
6. Oversee the management of all employment offers and contracts, pre-employment checks, and ensure probation reviews are conducted and outcomes communicated on time.
7. Manage GDPR compliance for the HR function.
8. Create various management information reports for the senior management and governors as required.
9. Work closely and collaboratively with the senior management team and wider management team to ensure a positive employee experience across the college.
10. Overseeing case work, including absence management.
11. Direct line management of the HR Team.
