The Assistant Project Manager supports the Water Neutrality Manager by ensuring effective coordination and delivery of project activities. The role works closely with the Water Neutrality Manager, providing essential assistance in managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables for Water Neutrality & Sustainability projects. The position involves supporting stakeholder communication, progress tracking, and ensuring the smooth operation of all project-related tasks.
The Assistant Project Manager plays a pivotal supporting role within the Water Neutrality Team, contributing to the successful delivery of sustainability and water neutrality projects.
Principal accountabilities
The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects. This includes:
Project Coordination:
Assisting in the development and management of project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Team Alignment:
Collaborating with team members to ensure activities are coordinated and milestones are achieved.
Performance Monitoring:
Tracking project performance metrics, including KPIs, and reporting on progress to the Sustainable Homes Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
Stakeholder Support:
Preparing progress reports and supporting communication efforts with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate transparency and alignment.
Operational Support:
Supporting the Team in day-to-day tasks, ensuring projects run smoothly and deliverables are met within specified timelines.
Essential Criteria:
1. Previous experience in project coordination or administration. Ability to assist the planning and managing projects from initiation to completion.
2. Ability to track and report on project performance metrics, including KPI.
3. Experience in preparing reports and supporting communication with diverse stakeholders.
4. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Desirable Criteria:
1. Degree in Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field.
2. Understanding of water neutrality or sustainability concepts & regulations.
3. High quality engagement and communications skills to ensure we provide first class customer and stakeholder experience.
