This post-holder will be involved in undergraduate and possibly postgraduate veterinary nursing course provision within the department, whilst also potentially supporting a range of other undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes within the University. The appointee will be based within the AHBW Department (Veterinary Nursing Section) and will work in collaboration with staff colleagues within Harper Adams University and the Harper & Keele Veterinary School.
To undertake this role, you must be:
A Registered Veterinary Nurse with at least one year working in veterinary practice post-registration.
The main duties will include:
Own teaching and assessment within taught modules at levels 3 upwards
Assisting staff with practical classes, tutorials, visits and other activities which require additional staffing across Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Nursing and Veterinary Physiotherapy course areas.
Participation in and development of the reach-out and research activity of the department
Participation in, and development of, the knowledge exchange and outreach activity of the department, which will include occasional weekend work (e.g., Open Days, public engagement events);
Such other duties as requested by the line manager or Head of Department commensurate with the post and the salary range of the grade.
