Credit Controller

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Credit Control team
The Credit Control function is responsible for providing a first-class service to the entire UK business. The team is focused on reducing debt through credit control activities and improving our overall working capital position.
We are looking for an individual who is up for a challenge and is keen to make an impact. You will be focused on improving debt collection, ensuring that the UK group’s aged debt is managed effectively, and DSO targets are met.
Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller, you will work closely with the operational and finance teams as well as directly with our clients across the globe on collecting debt. The role is broad, challenging, and rewarding.
You will require the gravitas to deal with issues, take ownership, and contribute to team performance whilst understanding when to escalate to the Team Leader.
Based at our Leeds office, the role will involve an element of flexible working in line with Sedgwick’s wider UK policy.
Key Duties
* Work to procedures and processes for Accounts Receivable that support company and departmental standards and strategic directives.
* Ensure month-end activities are delivered in line with the Group financial reporting calendar and support team leaders in reconciling balance sheet accounts.
* Maintain an excellent relationship with Operational teams and clients for the purpose of information gathering for billing, reporting, and credit control.
* Strive for 100% accuracy in order to ensure efficiency in the Accounts Receivable process and identify areas for improvement in processes.
* Using strong problem-solving skills, focus on reducing overall debt, with a focus on the over 90 days aged debt, improve cash flow and liaise across London Markets to come up with innovative ideas and processes to reduce aged debt and debtor day figures.
* Ability to manage workload to achieve cash in order to reduce the overall DSO position, in a fast-paced environment.
