Job Overview
CLCH Hertfordshire Adult Community Services Hertfordshire Division is recruiting!
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated, forward-thinking Band 5 Registered Nurses to work within the Neurological Rehabilitation team. Holywell Neurological Rehabilitation Unit has 18 inpatient beds.
Experience of working in a neurological setting is not essential as the successful candidates will receive a full supportive induction into this role. This is a full-time post which involves working night and day shifts, including bank holidays.
Advert
To give skilled nursing care, based on principles of best practice and clinical evidence. This includes: Management of stroke patients, Parkinson's, Multiple sclerosis, continence promotion, and wound management. Specific skills include PEG management and urinary catheterisation.
Act as a Named Nurse with the support and supervision of the Deputy Team Lead. To take continued responsibility for the holistic health needs assessment including care planning, evaluation, and appropriate implementation of health care and ensuring continuity of care following referral from acute care.
Act as the patient's advocate and to facilitate the patient's own choices with regard to nursing care, promoting independence and self-care, as appropriate.
To identify and record new problems and other relevant information reporting back to the doctor and nurse in charge as appropriate.
