You will join us on a permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week (Part time hours will be considered, minimum of 30 hours). In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum dependent upon experience. The Derian House care team provides symptom management, palliative and end-of-life care, as well as short break respite care to children, young people and their families across Lancashire, South Cumbria and Greater Manchester. Supported by our dedicated community team, family support team, neonatal services and young people’s services we are able to provide a wide range of support and care in a variety of settings. About the Finance Manager role. We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic qualified accountant to join our team. The role reports directly to our CEO and the main purpose of the role is: To contribute to the overall management of the hospice, with specific responsibility for finance, managing and improving current processes. To be accountable and lead on the financial operation and budget management for the organisation. To be responsible for the management of all financial operations relating to the organisation, including the production, management and presentation of the financial accounts. To lead, develop and implement a robust strategy and vision for the finance team. To be accountable for the accurate presentation of all financial data presented to all parties at all times. To be accountable for maximising the opportunity for profit ensuring that the full fundraising potential is reached and costs are controlled appropriately. To be accountable for the line management of the finance team and volunteers, as appropriate.
