We are seeking a Front End Developer to be an integral part of the team in designing, creating, and improving new and existing products, platforms, and transactions across government.
Knowledge:
* Expert knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and Sass.
* Expert knowledge of cross-browser considerations.
* Expert knowledge of Responsive Web Design.
* Knowledge of web accessibility and WCAG.
* Knowledge of UX and usability.
* Working knowledge of unix-like operating systems such as Linux and/or Mac OS X.
* Knowledge of the use of version control systems such as Subversion or Git.
* Understanding of web architecture.
Experience & Skills:
* Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
* Proven experience maintaining a large and dynamic code base.
* Experience working on technical projects within a team.
* Ability to quickly research and learn new programming tools and techniques.
* Experience in building high-traffic websites.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of client-side build tools: Grunt, Gulp, or similar.
* Skills to build a useful, robust automated test suite to support a continuous deployment environment.
* Working knowledge of Mustache templates, Java 7, and Node.js.
* Experience with test-driven development using toolsets such as Mocha and Jasmine.
SC clearance is highly desirable; candidates with active SC clearance will be fast-tracked.
