Role: Agricultural Manager
Salary: Up-to £50,000
Employment Type: Permanent (Full-time preferred, part-time considered)
We're working with a well-established and highly regarded professional services firm seeking an Agriculture Manager to join its team in Dumfries. This is a key role within a dynamic and client-focused environment, offering the opportunity to lead agricultural accountancy services with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and efficiency.
Responsibilities Include:
The successful candidate will oversee agricultural workflows, ensuring accurate and efficient service delivery to a portfolio of clients. Responsibilities include:
✔ Preparing, reviewing, and submitting accounts, VAT returns, and financial documents.
✔ Leading the agricultural team, providing guidance and support where needed.
✔ Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations while maintaining exceptional service standards.
✔ Identifying opportunities to improve departmental efficiencies and client service.
✔ Leveraging your network to identify new business opportunities organically
About you
You are a highly skilled and experienced accountancy professional with a either strong background in agricultural finance OR passionate about the agricultural sector with a deep understanding of the agricultural industry.
While Chartered would be an advantage, we would consider non-chartered candidates holding AAT qualifications with relevant experience.
With a focus on digital accounting and future technology, you will have a good understanding of cloud based systems such as Xero, Sage, Quickbooks enabling you to deliver accurate, high-quality financial services.
Your excellent interpersonal skills allow you to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. Approachable and professional, you communicate clearly and effectively, collaborating with various functions and stakeholders.
