Closing Date 08/01/2025 Job Title: Programme Support Specialist Location: Falmer (Hybrid Working) Salary: Circa £36k depending on experience Job Overview As a Programme Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of Southern Water’s investment plans. Working closely with our Investment Programme Managers, you will help drive the delivery of key interventions—ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and delivering maximum benefit. Responsibilities will include: This role will primarily support programmes within either our Water or Wastewater portfolio, with additional involvement in IT, Management & General, and other business areas as required. You will be at the heart of programme execution, collaborating with key stakeholders across Asset Management, Capital Delivery, Finance, Operations, and IT. Please see below further responsibilities for the role: Strong Excel skills to manipulate and analyse data, turning complex information into clear insights that add business value. Confident in using Power BI to create dashboards, track performance, and visualise key programme metrics. Solid PowerPoint skills to develop high-quality reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, ensuring data tells a compelling story. Ensure strategic programmes (£330m - £1,500m) deliver outcomes aligned with the PR24 Business Plan and Southern Water strategies. Monitor TOTEX budgets, enforce cost-efficiency measures, and provide early warnings on variances. Manage, optimise, and adjust programme delivery to meet regulatory commitments and execution plans. Collaborate with key leaders to identify and mitigate risks while maximising programme benefits. Work across departments to align programme outcomes with business objectives. Provide high-quality reports to the Investment Committee, Executives, MDs, Shareholders, and Board. Provide delivery framework reporting for regulatory, risk, and finance teams. Enhance processes, drive efficiencies, and apply best practices for optimal programme delivery. About You You will be highly numerate and analytical, you’re confident handling complex data, turning insights into actionable reports. With exceptional communication and influencing skills, you can engage stakeholders at senior and board level, driving alignment and decision-making. Skilled at juggling multiple priorities, you thrive in fast-paced environments, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality or control. Package This role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week. Southern Water operate a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington office and home.
