We have been appointed to manage the Treasury department recruitment campaign for one of the UK’s top high impact Banks. The department is expanding in anticipation of considerable balance sheet growth resulting from a recently announced acquisition deal. This particular role is a rare opportunity for someone to work on one of the most complex retail/corporate balance sheets in the UK without having to specialise in one risk type. These roles will span to FLM, Capital and IRRBB. Hybrid working available - You can use various UK office locations (including London) from which to fulfil your two day a week office attendance requirement.
Role Description
* Leading on the identification of how financial risks could materialise and recommending ways for the Bank to manage their potential impact.
* Horizon scanning for risks to the Bank’s long-term stability from liquidity or capital point of view.
* Assessing developments, both external in terms of the economic environment and internal from product and proposition changes.
* Understand how changes could impact the Bank’s financial risk profile leading to recommendations to senior management committees.
* Assessing new regulatory developments to ensure we can understand and manage the impact of changes.
* A key part of your role will be building and maintaining relationships within Treasury and across the Society with the need to explain technical topics to a wide range of stakeholders.
* The role will have line management responsibilities.
Role Requirements
* A degree in a relevant subject (such as Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Economics) or other equivalent experience.
* Extensive experience of liquidity or capital risk management, including a deep understanding of regulatory requirements including the production of the ILAAP or ICAAP documents.
* Excellent leadership skills with a track record of delivering through a team.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex subjects in a simple way to a wide range of stakeholders.
* Effective relationship building skills with both internal & external stakeholders.
* A willingness to take the initiative and think about impacts outside your immediate area of expertise.
