Due to an increasing workload, we are currently seeking an Architectural Technologist to join our Newcastle office, supporting our established architectural design team.
The key experience requirements are as follows:
* Technical Design: preparation of detailed technical drawings, elevations, sections, and specifications using AutoCAD (must be AutoCAD proficient, with Revit proficiency desirable).
* Project Delivery: assisting in the preparation of planning applications, building regulation submissions, and other statutory consent documentation.
* Design Coordination: liaising with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications and requirements are accurately implemented.
* Building Information Modelling (BIM): assisting in the creation, coordination, and management of BIM models and data.
* Construction Detailing: production of detailed construction drawings, schedules, and associated documentation for tender and construction phases.
* Site Support: providing technical support during the construction stage, including site inspections and quality assurance activities.

Skills and experience required
Ideally you will have:
* Degree in Architectural Technology (BSc or BSc Hons), CIAT accredited, or working towards professional accreditation.
* Competency in AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of Revit and BIM software is desirable.
* Proven experience working within architectural design teams, ideally within consultancy practices.
* Understanding of current UK Building Regulations, Planning processes, and construction detailing.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* Desire to develop professionally within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
