They are a one stop shop for all your automation requirements. Role Description This is a full-time Lead Engineer role located in the Stoke area with flexibility for remote work. The role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of PLC automation systems. The Lead Engineer will lead a team, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure the successful integration of automation solutions. • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of PLC and associated automated systems • Lead and manage a team of 3 seniors and 4 engineers • Analyse customer requirements, create specifications and work in a multi discipline team environment to develop the scope, design and drawing package for each project • Support debugging, troubleshooting, and integration activities • Analyse, size and select commercial components • Evaluate strength and time-cycle requirements • Review drawings and prepare drawing documentation • General documentation management, CE marketing, standards, NORMS etc • Communicate with team members from various departments and suppliers • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures The successful candidate will ideally have relevant qualifications and experience within mechanical, electro-mechanical or electronic engineering, experience of using design software within automated engineering applications or be able to demonstrate extensive experience within the field (programming, installation, commissioning etc). This individual must be self-motivated, creative, a team player, good communicator, able to articulate their ideas and solutions clearly to key stakeholders both internally and externally. Qualifications • Proficiency in PLC programming and automation systems • Experience in leading automation projects and managing teams • Knowledge of industrial control systems and SCADA systems • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
