Job Description:
We are looking for someone who can transform our vision by providing leadership and coordinating multi-agency partnerships to deliver local community safety projects and who can support our residents and community forums to improve community safety. You will draw on your knowledge and experience to develop and deliver multi-agency plans to address complex and challenging issues to improve the lives of people living, working, studying, and visiting the borough.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience of implementing multi-agency projects and who has a passion for coordinating and commissioning services to deliver positive outcomes for our residents, someone that can identify the right intervention at the right time to safeguard people and families.
The Team works on behalf of the Safer Guildford Partnership, which is a multi-agency strategic group made up of both responsible authorities and cooperating bodies that have a common goal, which is to make Guildford a safer place to live, visit, work, and learn.
About the Role:
1. Work in partnership with statutory and voluntary sector organisations, communities, and individuals to coordinate the borough’s response to community safety.
2. Respond to antisocial behaviour reports, case management, and coordinate multi-agency responses.
3. Advise various agencies, individuals, and businesses on problem-solving methodologies and crime prevention initiatives and deliver effective partnership working with communities, police, and other partner agencies.
4. Develop and deliver a programme of community engagement and work on a range of community safety priorities and projects.
5. Work closely with strategic leads and the Safer Guildford Partnership to develop and implement local delivery plans for the strategic priorities.
The post is available for a 12-month fixed-term contract, working 30 hours per week.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity. All employment decisions are made on the basis of qualifications, merit, and business need. Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and expects all staff and post-holders to share this commitment. To fulfil this commitment, we have robust systems in place for the safe recruitment of staff and volunteers.
