We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Psychologist to take up a permanent position in the North Early Help Service based in Basingstoke. This role aims to support the delivery and development of our Stepped Care offer in Hampshire CAMHS. This is a great opportunity for those wishing to gain further experience in applying psychological theory into practice with children and young people who have moderate mental health problems. We are looking for someone who has experience of delivering therapeutic groups and of supporting others via formal or informal supervisions. This role will afford various opportunities including developing assessment skills, group and brief individual therapy skills, and work linked to our Whole School Approach initiatives. We are a caring and inclusive team who seek to provide high quality, compassionate care to those who use our service.
You will receive regular, expert supervision from a qualified practitioner psychologist, and have access to a peer mentor programme as well as opportunities to link with other psychologists across the Service. At Hampshire CAMHS we ensure continuing professional development through a comprehensive in-house training program and external training opportunities. Main duties of the job
To support and enhance the professional psychological care of users of the service, providing psychological assessments and interventions within the scope appropriate to level of experience and training, and to undertaking related tasks to enhance assessment, intervention, and evaluation within the care group.

Qualifications
* Honours degree at 2:2 or above in Psychology, or equivalent. Eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartership with the BPS.
