1. Works with the doctor in charge to develop business strategies and patient services. 2. Designs and implements workplace procedures. 3. Oversees daily practice operations, including appointment scheduling, billing procedures, cleaning, security and occupational health and safety. 4. Clinical staff management (doctors, registrars, students, nurses together with other practitioners and locum cover) including the management of all associated HR/appraisal records. 5. Manage practice budgets and administer all financial procedures including VAT, salaries, payroll and invoices. 6. Controls the supply of medications and medical equipment. 7. Management of practice buildings and contractors in relation to maintenance, electric, gas and insurance together with regulation CQC contracts. 8. Manages patient records and IT systems with the assistance of the practices IT Lead. 9. Evaluates appointment procedures and patient services including administering patient complaints and SEAs. 10. Recruits new non-clinical staff and liaises with the practices Non-Clinical Staff Supervisor regarding supervision of the support staff. 11. To attend weekly PCN meetings and attend to PCN issues and needs. 12. To coordinate and administer bi-monthly practice meetings. 13. To coordinate regular clinical and safeguarding meetings as required. 14. Monitors practices progress in meeting government targets. 15. Additional tasks as required by the doctor in charge.
