Job Summary
We are seeking a Downstream Technology Consultant to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence Organization under our technical support team. The technical support is a multidisciplinary team responsible for providing the required high-quality technical support to GM operating facilities (Refineries, NGLF, and petrochemical plants) inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia & across the globe. Your primary role will be to support the Technology roadmap and deployment programs aimed at maximizing the technology value realization, utilization, and benefits by deploying innovative and efficient solutions and technologies across Global Manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze maintenance spending in terms of manpower, equipment, materials procurement, and outsource strategies.
2. Assess planning and scheduling effectiveness including wrench time benchmarks, KPIs, PM, and predictive maintenance (PdM) effectiveness.
3. Ensure completion of assigned maintenance work for a given maintenance function and mentor junior GC maintenance engineers.
4. Conduct data-driven analysis to benchmark maintenance organizations' performance, identify gaps, and develop sustainable plans to close them including:
1. Total spend analysis
2. Maintenance program effectiveness
3. Total lifecycle costs of new assets
4. Current operating costs of existing assets
5. Preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
6. Value creation as cost saving/cost avoidance
7. Wrench time vs. plan
8. SAP structure table and equipment classification
9. Planning and scheduling effectiveness
10. Technician competency and qualification program
11. Maintenance budget strategy
12. Capital project and Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) model among others.
5. Benchmark and prepare reports on the effectiveness of maintenance processes.
6. Work on an enterprise level to forecast procurement (materials and services) strategy for annual demand per facility.
7. Assist in the implementation of approved programs including providing information, authoritative interpretation, conducting pilot runs, and conducting training sessions.
8. Assess T&I (Turnaround and Inspection) and turnaround programs per facility.
Requirements:
1. Willingness to relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
2. Hold a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
3. Have a minimum of 10 years work experience in refining or petrochemical facilities.
4. Demonstrate the highest degree of technical competence in maintenance programs and activities.
5. Strong hands-on experience in oil & gas maintenance organization in the following fields is preferred:
1. Risk-based processes such as Reliability-Centered Maintenance, Risk-Based Maintenance, Totally Productive Maintenance.
2. Spare parts and general materials procurement strategies.
3. Maintenance techniques and programs.
4. Best-in-class Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, and work prioritization.
5. Maintenance budgeting and spending control methods.
6. Field maintenance methodology.
7. Risk, Reliability, Oil, Gas.
