The successful candidate must cover General Practice HCA duties delivering the highest level of care and assistance. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Phlebotomy
2. Assisting with long-term conditions clinics such as diabetes, asthma, and COPD
3. NHS Health Checks
4. Wound Management
5. Flu and Pneumonia vaccinations
6. Smoking Cessation
7. ECGs
8. BP checks
9. B12 injections
10. Suture and clip removal
11. Ordering nursing stock and equipment
12. Precise and accurate recording on patient records
You will work alongside the existing nursing team to ensure:
1. Stock levels are maintained by ordering, rotation, and sorting deliveries
2. Identifying the best places to purchase stocks and dealing with suppliers
3. Completion of cleanliness, infection prevention control measures, and health and safety requirements of the role
Doctors are supported in their clinics with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all patients. This list is not exhaustive.

2. Will be able to undertake consultations within the designated times
3. Able to work to a high standard of care under supervision
4. Able to accept coaching and guidance
5. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
6. Good organisational and time management skills
7. Adaptable to change
8. Flexibility to handle different situations
9. Be caring and compassionate in nature
10. Be able to undertake mandatory training
11. Computer literate
12. Ability to work well within a team
Further training opportunities are available both externally and within the surgery to expand your skills in areas of interest.
Desirable experience:
1. Care Certificate
2. Medical administration (1 year)
3. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
4. EMIS knowledge
