CMC Marquees provides marquees and infrastructure for private and corporate events, tv and film productions, and temporary warehousing solutions across Bristol, the South West and further afield. As the business is expanding into new areas we are looking for new employees to join the team.
Overview Responsibilities
You will be responsible for overseeing picking, loading, installation, derig, and maintenance of marquee structures for events, tv/film productions and temporary storage. The role involves leading a team, ensuring safety standards, managing equipment, liaising with clients, and problem-solving. Along with a strong understanding of event logistics and marquee structures, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of CMC.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work alongside the existing Foreman.
2. Manage a team of riggers.
3. Build and derig marquee structures and ensure that all:
1. Tasks are delegated accurately to ensure efficient and professional install and derig.
2. Staff are kept motivated to work efficiently and keep a positive attitude.
3. Procedures are always followed.
4. Install and derig deadlines are met.
5. Health and safety rules are observed.
4. Provide team briefings prior to any jobs commencing.
5. Take overall responsibility for the quality of the install and derig of the marquee.
6. Liaise with clients and contractors on site.
7. Ensure all jobs are completed to company standards.
8. Assist with the office team.
9. Responsible for refurbishing equipment, cleaning, re-organising.
1. Stock checking and stock control.
2. Returning kit to designated areas post job.
3. Cleaning of equipment.
Person Specification
1. Minimum 2 years experience in marquees and temporary structures.
2. Valid and clean driving license and own transport.
3. Forklift/Telehandler license - advantageous.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills.
5. Physically fit and willing to work hard, with the ability to work long hours and weekends over busy periods.
6. Ability to work calmly under pressure, to deadlines, in a changing environment.
7. Ability to demonstrate the use of initiative and creativity in resolving problems.
Salary/Benefits
28 days annual leave. Standard working hours are Mon-Fri (8am – 4pm), however through the summer start and finish times will vary according to the workload. Weekend work will be required occasionally.
