Qualified Residential Support Worker

Horizon Care and Education have an opportunity for a Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in our homes across the North West region.
You will need to be open to working in a reflective manner and deliver relationship-based, person-centred care as part of a small team. This will involve a combination of day, evening, night, weekend, and bank holiday working.
About the role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support young people in the many different aspects of daily life within our homes including:
1. Helping young people continue with hobbies, social activities, and friendships, and learn new skills.
2. Providing support with morning routines such as getting ready for school and making sure they have a good breakfast.
3. Preparing evening meals and ensuring the young person has a safe space to relax and unwind within the home.
4. Supporting young people to reach their potential and experience new opportunities.
Skills/Qualifications needed:
Must hold, or be working towards and complete, within 2 years of starting at the home the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England), or hold an equivalent qualification such as NVQ 3 caring for children and young people and be prepared to complete any additional work to meet the required level.
Experience of working as a support worker in a similar setting.
