They are a leading construction business delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial. They are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Role Overview: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing and controlling all aspects of cost on construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate measurement, cost planning, and procurement of materials and services to ensure that the projects are completed within budget and to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities: Lead cost planning and cost control activities on projects, ensuring all costs are managed effectively and efficiently. Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities, and estimates. Conduct site visits to assess progress and liaise with the project team to ensure accurate reporting of cost status. Provide advice on procurement strategies and manage sub-contract packages. Prepare monthly reports, financial forecasts, and valuations. Review and evaluate contracts and manage the administration of contract variations. Oversee junior quantity surveyors and mentor them as necessary. Negotiate and resolve disputes related to cost and contract terms. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies. Skills & Experience: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (RICS accredited preferred). Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally within construction Strong understanding of cost management, procurement, and contract administration. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software, and cost estimation tools. Membership of RICS or equivalent professional body is highly desirable. Benefits: Competitive salary.
