An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Analyst to work in the Business Evaluation Team within Civil Aerospace in Derby. The BE Team produces financial evaluations on sales campaigns. We work closely with Sales and Commercial to find deal constructs that meet our customer's needs and achieve Rolls-Royce's objectives. Our evaluations are vital in helping shape sales strategy and in supporting decision making. The deals we evaluate are large and often very complex meaning the work we do is challenging, rewarding and of very high value to the company.
The Business Evaluation Team is a flexible group of professionals with a variety of backgrounds, covering Finance, Commercial, Engineering, Marketing, Planning & Control and more. The BE Team has two sub teams, which work very closely together:
The BE Operations team conduct financial evaluations on sales campaigns using sophisticated Excel models. They partner with Sales and Commercial forming a vital part of the sales campaign team. Their analysis is used to shape strategy and inform decision making. Producing a robust financial evaluation in line with our processes and policies is the core of the team's role. Building on this with creative thinking to find win-win solutions for Rolls-Royce and our customers is the next level that makes this team so valuable.

What you'll be doing:
As part of an Integrated Campaign Team, you will provide expert advice and solutions on campaigns to solve business challenges and aid the development / optimisation of the evaluation for both Rolls-Royce and the Customer.
1. Create and deliver accurate business evaluations within committed timescales
2. Ensure compliant deployment of relevant policies, process and governance for all campaigns
3. Identify and assess business risks and liabilities and make recommendations on how to manage, minimise or mitigate such risk
4. Generate product assurance guarantees and pricing matrices as well as evaluation methodologies for non-standard services
5. Deliver decision support information for all Business Evaluations and provide support for approval meetings up to and including board level
6. Use campaign experiences to collate and as required deliver process improvements to ensure the continual evolution and development of the Business Evaluation framework and methodologies.

The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate but is anticipated to be Staff Grade 8-10.
