Our client is looking to recruit a Outpatient/Nursing Service Manager on a permanent basis that will be in support of the Matron and Clinical Service Manager to provide exemplary planned care for patients while managing more than one clinical team. You will be required to ensure that the teams deliver effective patient care by providing excellent clinical and managerial leadership. The primary focus will be developing practice in the assessment of health and wellbeing needs, developing a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security, determining the effective use of efficient use of physical and financial resources and effective use of efficient use of physical and financial resources, and developing strategies and policies for service improvement. You will be involved in reviewing and comparing current practices, trends, and developments against appropriate benchmarks. You will also identify people’s health needs through observation discussion and the use of technical assessment methods. Additionally, you will be required to identify and discuss with colleagues the implication of assessment against the program of care, enabling them to think through the risks and their effective management and the need for referral to others. As part of your role, you will also need to discuss and debate with relevant people the effectiveness, efficiency and appropriateness of services that are being provided with particular attention to risks and priorities, service issues, impact of strategies on service development and delivery. You will also negotiate resource availability and use in a manner which maintains good working relationships and is completed within an agreed time scale.
