Position Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced Senior Solicitor with a specialist focus on Asbestos and Mesothelioma claims to join their Industrial Disease team. The successful candidate will have proven expertise in asbestos-related claims or broader Industrial Disease litigation and a strong professional following. The role offers the opportunity for partnership within the first year of employment for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handle a caseload of Asbestos and Mesothelioma claims
2. Develop new business and generate cases through an established professional network
3. Build and maintain relationships within the Asbestos/Industrial Disease community
4. Provide excellent client care, particularly with clients suffering from severe or fatal illnesses
5. Work collaboratively with the team to enhance the firm's market position in Asbestos-related claims
6. Manage and mentor junior staff, while having access to full paralegal and administrative support
Requirements:
1. Technical excellence in handling Asbestos and/or Mesothelioma claims
2. Qualified Solicitor, FILEX, or equivalent professional qualification
3. Proven ability to generate new cases and maintain a network within the Asbestos/Industrial Disease sector
4. Extensive case handling experience within Industrial Disease
5. Strong interpersonal skills with a sensitivity for working with clients facing serious health conditions
6. Ambitious and driven personality with a commitment to a collaborative legal practice
