Employee Relations Specialist
1 x (Warrington, Birchwood) with regular travel and remote working.
Reports to: Industrial and Employee Relations Manager
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our dynamic HR team.
This role is pivotal in managing and resolving workforce conflicts, providing expert guidance on policy interpretation, and promoting a productive, compliant, and inclusive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead on all disciplinary, grievance, absence management, mediation, and whistleblowing cases, including complex and Employment Tribunal cases.
* Manage the end-to-end process for Data Subject Access Requests in designated regions.
* Advise on performance and capability management, working closely with key stakeholders.
* Create comprehensive ER data reports, tracking trends, and recommending improvement strategies.
* Provide expert guidance on redundancy, restructuring, and TUPE processes.
* Coach, advise, and influence stakeholders, including senior management.
* Develop and implement modern, bespoke HR policies and procedures.
* Lead or support designated HR ER-related projects.
* Provide training on employee relations topics, both in-person and virtually.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment law, ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Act as a mentor and coach to upskill internal stakeholders.
* Take the lead in trade union and employee representative forums.
* Identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and engagement.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in an Employee Relations Specialist or similar HR role.
* In-depth knowledge of labor law, policies, and HR best practices.
* Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.
* Exceptional report and letter writing skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with trade unions and employee representative forums (desirable).
* Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
