We are proud to be working with a leading charity to recruit this key role within its high performing procurement team. The position benefits from hybrid working, requiring 2 days on-site per week either at the head office in Oxford or at another of the charity's locations in Lincolnshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
The position will see you working within a small but critical procurement function, providing you with an opportunity to make a considerable difference to the achievements of the department, and in turn contribute to the positive social impact the charity's work is having on its communities.
You will be responsible for providing pre-and post-contract commercial procurement services across a number of key areas including agency staff, cleaning & housekeeping and medical consumables. In doing so, you will ensure that the procurement objectives of the department are achieved consistently and in support of the strategic plan and vision. You will also be tasked with developing and managing a number of key supplier relationships to ensure value for money and provide technical expertise in executing end-to-end procurement processes
Your profile and background
* You'll have experience of the full end-end-end tendering process and you'll be able to provide examples where you have achieved significant savings across specific category areas of spend.
* You'll have a solid understanding of indirect procurement, in key areas such as those listed above, and you'll be comfortable liaising with a broad range of suppliers and negotiating high profile contracts.
* You'll be a personable and self-motivated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills, who can build good relationships internally with your stakeholders.
You will ideally be on your CIPS journey already and be looking to achieve full MCIPS accreditation. This is not however an essential requirement.
Please get in touch for more details. All applications and enquiries meeting the above criteria will be carefully considered.
