Role Overview: As Senior Project Engineer you will take responsibility for providing safe and compliant delivery of assigned capital projects, on time, within budget and to the agreed scope. You will lead projects at your assigned manufacturing site and, by exception, other sites as appropriate driven by the project portfolio. In this role you will utilise your knowledge of technical, product, and market information to understand the project scope, expectations, and requirements to contribute to development of project strategy. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain an awareness of current and developing safety, health and environmental policies and procedures, and support coworkers as appropriate. Define and specify capital project scopes. Manage commissioning & validation lifecycle activities (e.g. FAT/SAT, URS, DQ, IQOQ) Form and co-ordinate cross-functional project teams Ensure compliance with safety, quality and business requirements. Establish sourcing strategy & drive vendor selection process. Generate and manage cost estimates and budget. Develop and control project schedules. Establish/cultivate networks of support (internal and external) to facilitate completion of assignments/build technical knowledge. Interact with customers/clients to better understand relations, processes, and applications. Contribute information to technical strategic planning process. Assist in the development of other technical employees, contract workers, tech aides as required. Skills & Experience: 5 years’ experience working on engineering projects. 3 years’ experience in a regulated industry e.g. pharmaceutical or food & beverage industry is preferable. Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline. Chartered status (CEng) or working towards chartership is highly desirable. Proven leadership of capital projects in a manufacturing environment is essential. Possesses complex problem-solving skills is required. Sound knowledge of engineering design principles, procurement strategies, and construction methods. Previous experience of health & safety regulations, quality systems, and relevant industry standards. Strong project management skills with experience using tools like MS Project, or similar. Financial experience in dealing with budgeting, cost control, and analysis is required.
