Job Title: Project Manager
Location: South Coast- You can be based in one of our offices within Southern Water patch- Chatham, Falmer, Durrington, Peel Common- Hybrid- 3 office/ site and 2 WFH- It is essential for you to have a driving licence due to occasional site visit requirement

Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager working within the Wastewater Engineering & Construction directorate, delivering above ground wastewater infrastructure to time, cost, quality and meeting regulatory criteria. Working in collaboration with our Delivery Partners, you will be ensuring they are providing services in accordance with their contractual obligations. As an experienced contract manager, with a proven track record of managing Design & Build schemes, your commercial awareness, understanding of contractual implications will be highly beneficial when decisions are made with your effective negotiation skills.
Your responsibilities will also include:
1. Managing project risks through early warning process, identification, recording, management and mitigation of such risks, utilising established risk management systems (PIM).
2. Maintaining cost control throughout the project life cycle, ensuring budgets are maintain, authorised financial governance is adhered to and forecast spends are as representative as possible.
3. Sound understanding of planning and programme management, working with the PMO planners to create or maintain project programmes
4. throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Complete management information requirements to support timely and accurate reporting regime within the department.
6. Attendance at meetings as required and regular visits to site to audit and check on progress.
To be successful in this role, you will have strong project management experience with proven track record of managing Design & Build schemes, whilst maintaining health, safety and the environment to the highest of standards. It is essential for you to have an in-depth knowledge of NEC ECC, with particular experience of Option A form of contract; able to effectively administer contracts through electronic communication software (CEMAR). Being a confident communicator, you will be keeping the end users in mind when delivering projects, understanding who the customers are, delivering schemes that will enhance and benefit them whist building strong and effective working relationships with contractors, colleagues, and both internal and external key stakeholders. You will ideally have relevant Accredited NEC PM qualification, NEBOSH/IOSH and PMQ qualifications or working towards.
