Description About your role In this role, you would be responsible for the provision of accurate, timely and relevant medical and scientific information to internal and external stakeholders, that supports the achievement of business objectives while maximizing patient outcomes. You would also build relationships with key external experts (KEEs/KOLs) and patient organisations across relevant therapy areas that will allow for an in-depth understanding of the treatment landscape and foster collaboration opportunities that will enhance patient care and support the NHS. And you would also be responsible for the review and certification of promotional and educational materials and activities to ensure information is accurate, relevant to the Country environment and in accordance with the UK Code of Practice and local regulatory requirements Your key responsibilities Medical Maintain up to date knowledge about current medical and scientific information, knowledge and trends across therapy areas and the NHS, and appropriately implement UK pharmaceutical regulations and Orion policies and procedures Contribute to the development of the Medical Plan and implement local medical affairs tactics to support best clinical practice and the overall business objectives in the relevant therapy area/s Provide expert scientific engagement and insights that ultimately contribute to favourable patient outcomes. Answering, and being the “go to” person for all medical and scientific queries about Orion products from internal and external stakeholders, including HCPs Work closely with the Marketing and Commercial teams to provide Medical insight and advice to shape brand and campaign plans to deliver on business objectives while maximizing patient outcomes. Assist in the development of sales and marketing materials that reflect the science and the regulations, as appropriate. Build relationships with thought leaders, other healthcare professionals and stakeholders, including patient groups and professional organisations Support the implementation of advisory boards and other advice seeking activities, as well as high impact medical education activities, such as medical stand-alone meetings, congress symposia, hospital meetings and speaker development programmes. Code of Practice ABPI code expert and final signatory; maintain up to date code knowledge (in relevant codes) Timely review and certification of promotional material Training Responsible for devising and delivering scientific and technical aspects of product training for Sales representatives When and where relevant, to provide company training on scientific and medical updates, code updates, and external training (e.g. nurses, pharmacists) Medical Information Respond to complex queries from internal and external stakeholders Escalate relevant Medical Information requests to the Head of Medical, as required. Our expectations We are looking for a UK registered healthcare professional (physician or pharmacist) with relevant experience within the UK pharmaceutical industry. Ideally with ABPI Final signatory status (or in training). You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and are able to influence and positively challenge others at all relevant levels and effectively communicate complex messages. You should have a strong scientific interest and an analytical, process driven approach combined with commercial insight.
