An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Rotherham Council's new Property and Facilities Services as our Service Manager PFI, Contracts and Commissioning. This strategic post is responsible for assisting with the development of various policies and strategies, including the Council's Asset Management Plan, long-term maintenance, and lifecycle plan for schools and wider Children and Young Persons service areas.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the review of the Schools PFI contract, ensuring governance and best practices are delivered through regular review, policy, and procedure updates.
2. Act as the subject matter expert for contract management in a PFI setting, supporting beyond schools by offering advice around Leisure PFI’s and other areas of contract management when support is needed.
3. Develop the Council's approach to planning and delivery of the Schools Capital Programme and assist in the development of day-to-day services to schools (FM and Property).
4. Ensure effective monitoring of contracts, highlighting and managing any performance issues through performance review meetings with suppliers and schools.
5. Liaise with all schools, government bodies, members, and other key stakeholders and customers regarding operational contracts.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in contract management, particularly within a PFI setting. You will have a proven track record of developing and implementing policies and strategies, as well as experience in managing complex contracts and governance ideally in a local authority setting.
