Here at AXA UK, we’re looking for a capable Pricing Manager to manage projects and analyse data that continually improve the predictive power of our models, as well as the positioning of our prices in the market. You’ll be working on BAU and a large-scale project centred around van products. You’ll ensure processes across the team are delivered complete, error free and on time, and ensure any deviations are appropriately communicated and agreed. As an avid team player, you’ll have the ability to actively listen to stakeholders to anticipate and understand their needs. You’ll ensure the desired rating actions are carefully communicated and deployed into production. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at our Redhill office, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing: Supervise analysis, ensuring rigor and high quality throughout. Oversee the creation, maintenance and deployment of rating models. Consider the impact of pricing actions on customers, and act to avoid any unfair treatment. Ensure work can be efficiently merged and refactored into the Python rating API, codebase. Guarantee code quality is aligned with expected standards. Build strong relationships with managers, peers and stakeholders. Manage and develop skills of direct reports. Build relationships with other divisions across Retail and the wider AXA Group. What you’ll bring: Understanding of the whole insurance pricing process and a range of statistical techniques for modelling. Experience in coding ability using Python. Strong work ethic with an innovative mindset. Continuous appetite to learn and develop skills. Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines whilst maintaining reliability and accuracy. Experience in insurance pricing is desirable but not essential. 2:1 degree or higher in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, or related discipline or evidence of equivalent proficiency. Previous experience in managing direct reports is highly desirable. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
