In order to achieve our sales objectives regarding revenue, profitability and market share the Sales Manager is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of sales within the Geosynthetics business. We are particularly interested in someone with a strong background in civil engineering, rail or builders' merchants and understands geosynthetics and who has a proven record of leading a team. The Sales Manager is accountable for managing a direct team including a Key Account Manager, Technical Sales, Inside Sales and Product Development as well as identifying sales opportunities and developing new business. Primary responsibilities are: Manages 4 direct reports to maximise their results and encourage their professional growth Contributes to the development and execution of strategic business plans and processes. Analyzes market- and competition data, plans and conducts market research in order to identify opportunities for increased market share. Accountable for some direct key accounts and supporting the team with regional distribution partners Suggests and initiates product developments based on customer needs and market surveys. Provides information and support to R&D for product innovation and development. Develops new business and adds new distribution points in both existing and new segments/markets. Monitors sales effectiveness, analyzes sales data and takes necessary corrective actions. Responsible for negotiation of contracts with customers, adapting rebate schemes & incentivizing growth Work in collaboration with the Essex site to accurate forecast volume and sales per month. Build trust and support with customer care in order to ensure correct handling of purchase orders and customer agreements. Responsible for achieving commercial sales targets. Provides information and support to marketing and promotional activities. 10 years sales experience 2 Years team management experienced preferred Experience in geosynthetics markets Experience in civil engineering, builders merchant market or Railways valued Fluency in English, written and verbally, is essential.
