The post holder will form part of the multidisciplinary team providing high quality care for patients of the practice. The role of Reception manager is fundamental to the smooth running of the practice and has a unique role in building relationships with the patients. The post holder will oversee a team of receptionists who will be the first point of contact for patients at the practice. The role is varied and includes administration duties, face to face work with the public and dealing with telephone enquiries. The post holder will need to have a clear understanding of customer care and be able to work as part of a team as well as being able to use their initiative and prioritise their workload. The post holder will be expected to have a flexible approach to working hours, covering various shift patterns over 5 days, Monday to Friday. As Reception manager the post holder will motivate and lead the reception team, ensuring an effective and efficient reception service is provided to both patients and visitors. Duties will include being the first point of contact for any problems or patients concerns and for reporting and managing both planned and unplanned staff absence.
