Description
As the Global Category Manager, you will,
Develop and implement a category strategy for key areas of spend.
Be a part of a high performing function, sharing best practice, and supporting each other in goal delivery
Building strategic relationships with key suppliers, a gain insight into new technology to support NPD
Driving cost savings and efficiency improvements, both through materials and VA/VE routes
Manage risk, primarily on supply and quality
Overseeing the performance management of suppliers and contracts.Profile
A successful Global Category Manager should have:
Ideally an Engineering related degree / educational background, and have a significant procurement track record
Proven within the development and roll out of a category strategy, supplying in a global manufacturing footprint
Project leadership skills with the ability to drive and manage change.
Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
Ideally, knowledge of the supply markets of complex engineering assemblies (including Drives, Motors, and Engines)Job Offer
