Are you an experienced and confident IT trainer who can identify learning and development needs and then design and deliver engaging solutions?
We are Tozers, a law firm with offices in Exeter, Newton Abbot and Teignmouth. We have 30 partners and 190 colleagues, and we are seeking an experienced IT Trainer to join our IT team. This is a new role and is an exciting opportunity for you to shape our IT training delivery.
What you’ll be doing
As part of our IT team, you will be expected to be an active part of our induction process for new colleagues as well as managing the IT learning and development requirements for all other colleagues. Although you will be line managed by our Head of IT, this is a role where you will use your initiative, manage your time and plan your work to deliver excellent training to our colleagues.
The role will entail:
* Delivering in office IT induction training for new starters.
* Identifying training needs and delivering regular refresher and update training sessions.
* Designing, creating and publishing training support materials including quick guides, videos, eLearning, and news articles on the firm’s intranet.
* Reviewing and revising training materials to ensure they reflect system upgrades and changes.
* Scheduling training modules, booking meeting rooms and preparing resources for regular training events and new product rollouts and/or upgrades.
* Working closely with the IT team to identify common issues and implementing appropriate training solutions.
About you
The successful candidate will have a keen interest in IT and IT training with experience gained ideally in a legal or professional services environment. This role would best suit someone who is proactive and enthusiastic with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels. Previous experience of designing and delivering training modules, both in person and remotely, is essential.
What we’re looking for
Our ideal candidate will have had previous experience working within professional services, preferably with another law firm. You will have experience of undertaking training needs analysis and you will be a confident communicator who can pass on information, no matter how experienced the learners, travelling between our offices when required.
What you’ll have
A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in an IT training role, with excellent knowledge of various IT systems, software, and tools used within a law firm
It is essential that you have the following:
* Experience of working in the legal or professional service sector and training on legal IT systems.
* Experience in creating engaging and effective training materials
* Experience in delivering training in person and remotely
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
