What the Job Involves As a Personal Advisor in Sefton Council's People Directorate, you will play a crucial role in the operational delivery of the Children's Social Care Service within the Leaving Care Team. Your main duties will include providing comprehensive advice and support to care leavers to enhance their financial capability, accommodation options, education, and access to employment and cultural activities. Participating actively in Pathway Plan assessments, reviews, and co-ordinating services, you'll ensure care leavers receive the necessary guidance to successfully integrate into community life. You are responsible for supervising young people's contact with birth families, maintaining progress records, and promoting their health and well-being. Identifying and reporting risks and safeguarding concerns in alignment with procedures is fundamental. You'll work collegially within the Council and with external agencies, representing the department at meetings and ensuring data protection compliance.
