What is the purpose of this job?
As part of the Finance Team, reporting to the Head of Treasury and Settlement, the post holder will be a member of the wider Core Services team providing financial and accounting services to the RDG Group of businesses. They will be expected to lead and deliver the year-end financial reporting for the seven legal entities operating under the RDG banner.
The role includes the review of the ledger balances and their associated reconciliations, to ensure they are up to audit standard. The postholder will work with the Finance Business Partners and the Transactions Team (including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable) to ensure compliance with our financial controls, risk exposure and with relevant policies.
The successful applicant will be liaising with the external auditors and lead on the year-end statutory accounts production process, ensuring compliance with financial accounting standards. The role involves the preparation of working papers, extended trial balance and tax packs for the various legal entities.
The applicant will have a proven record of working in a business as a Group Accountant or similar role, preparing financial statements to audit standard for multiple companies.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What experience, skills and knowledge do I need?
1. Qualified accountant with experience of managing year end statutory accounts production for multiple legal entities.
2. An understanding of various Financial Systems (NetSuite would be an advantage)
3. An understanding of UK Corporation tax principles.
4. Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.
5. Effective organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
