Rate of Pay: £12.69 - £16.10 per Hour
Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Planning Support Officer to join our Planning team. This role is essential in providing both administrative and technical support across planning applications, planning enforcement, and policy workstreams.
Youll be responsible for validating planning applications and appeals, maintaining enforcement records, and supporting the wider planning policy and development management functions.
Responsibilities:
* Validate planning and related applications and appeals, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
* Generate and maintain enforcement records in line with statutory requirements.
* Provide technical and administrative support across development management, conservation, urban design, and planning policy.
* Assist in the monitoring and coordination of workflows and database management.
* Respond to queries from applicants, agents, and the public in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
* Good general education (e.g., GCSEs or equivalent), including English and Maths.
* Relevant vocational training or willingness to undertake training relevant to planning support.
Experience Required:
* Experience working in an administrative or technical support role, preferably within a local authority or planning environment.
* Experience with document processing, record-keeping, and database systems.
* Familiarity with planning systems and legislation is desirable.
