We are a well-established electrical and renewable energy company looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our client base. This role is ideal for someone with strong sales and relationship management skills, who thrives on identifying new business opportunities and helping organisations improve their energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategies to generate new business opportunities within the commercial and public sectors.
* Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring long-term partnerships.
* Identify potential customers through networking, open events, referrals, and targeted outreach.
* Conduct consultations to assess client needs and recommend tailored energy-saving solutions.
* Work closely with the internal team to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions.
* Provide input into marketing and promotional strategies to enhance brand visibility.
* Attend weekly progress meetings to review sales performance and business strategy.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management (preferably in the electrical or renewable energy sector).
* Strong networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Ability to identify opportunities and develop tailored solutions for clients.
* Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
* Comfortable managing multiple accounts and working independently.
* Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
* Strong IT skills for CRM and sales tracking.
